Hello everyone, and welcome to my very first newsletter!

These will likely be infrequent, but will be a great way to stay updated on what I am working on, without having to slog through social media to do it.

So What ARE You Working On?

I’m glad you asked!

First up, this absolutely awesome anthology kickstarter!

Honestly, we have been working on this for over a year now. A ton of planning, organizing, coordinating, and learning as we go has gone into this project. Every contributor also is a volunteer on one of the committees for this book (design, editorial, marketing, publishing, etc) and has logged serious hours in meetings planning and plotting, all as volunteers. It’s been a great experience overall, and I hope you check it out. Even though we hit our finding goal there are additional goals you can help us hit, which would be awesome.

Another thing I did was make a comic for the Cartoonist Co-Ops Oops All Comics Zine. It’s up for sale as part of the Nib and Ink Festival (NIF 2025) and all proceeds go to the Co-Op.

My current personal project involves doing some civics zines. I’ve been noticing a large lack of basic civics education, and decided to do something about it. Think “I’m Just a Bill,” but for people born after School House Rock aired.

I’ll probably be posting the finished comics on ko-fi or here, and then offering them as a zine for sale it he future. I’m still not sure how many comics will be in the zine. I’m figuring that out as a I go. That’s it for now! Thanks so much for reading. In the future, I plan to include comics in here. I haven’t decided what type of comics yet, personal/journal, recipe comics, random illustrated thoughts, but comics of some kind.

Anyway, that’s it for now. This newsletter is still a bit of a work in progress, and I plant o add more comics content as I get things settled. What type of comics, you ask? Well, I am not sure yet, but likely a mix of personal/journal comics, rest runs of recipe comics, maybe work in progress, and probably some character design stuff. We’ll see!
